Academics

CPC offers four academic programs that adult language learners may choose from:

  • English Proficiency Program (EPP): CPC’s most popular academic program for students with an F-1 student visa, EPP provides students with the foundational skills needed to effectively communicate with different speakers of English. Students enrolled in the EPP program take classes daily (Monday through Friday from 9-1pm) which focus on enhancing students’ grammar, listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in order to comfortably communicate with other English speakers.
  • English Conversation Program (ECP): The ECP program is for students who do not possess an F-1 student visa, but who wish to improve upon their communicative English fluency. Similar to the EPP program, students enrolled in the ECP program focus on enhancing their grammar, listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in classes held from Monday to Thursday from 9-1pm.
  • TOEIC: The TOEIC program is designed for students who wish to take the TOEIC exam. Students enrolled in this course focus on enhancing their understanding of grammar and improving upon their listening and reading skills in order to achieve the score necessary to transfer to a community college or four year university.
  • TOEFL: The TOEFL program is designed for students who wish to take the TOEFL exam. Students enrolled in this course focus on enhancing their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in order to achieve the score necessary to transfer to a community college or four year university.
