Upon completion of the associate’s degree, the majority of our students transfer to four year institutions around the Chicago area such as DePaul University, Roosevelt University, University of Illinois at Chicago, Illinois State University, Northern Illinois University, Northeastern Illinois University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and many others. Students may also transfer out of state to schools such as University of Michigan, University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Iowa State University, Michigan State University, Purdue University, San Diego State University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Texas A&M University, Arizona State University, and many others.

College of Lake County is a public, two-year community college accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and located in Lake County, Illinois. College of Lake County offers more than 60 programs through which students may acquire associates degrees and then transfer to University through our 2+2 programs. International students seeking to improve their English as a Second Language abilities take courses offered by CLC who are taught by passionate and full-time instructors dedicated to helping them achieve this goal. Students who complete our English language program go on to get an associate’s degree and then transfer to a four year university or college to complete a bachelor’s degree.
