Elgin Community College (ECC) is located in Elgin, Illinois, about 40 miles (64 km) from Chicago, the third largest city in the US. Chicago is home to world-championship sports teams, an internationally acclaimed symphony orchestra, award-winning theater, dozens of museums and historical sites, premier shopping and some of the best restaurants in the United States.  ECC has thirteen buildings that grace a picturesque 217-acre campus. The campus is a modern network of buildings where learning is enhanced by the latest equipment, Internet and wireless access, and computer instruction across the curricula. ECC is outfitted for the future and continues to grow to meet the ever-changing needs of our students.

  • Homestay Program – Live with an American family while you study at ECC! You can experience daily American life and traditions and improve your English. All host families are screened by the college and provide a safe and nurturing environment for international students.
