Entry Requirements

  • A completed Langara College Application Form.

  • Official transcripts/marksheets/academic records showing all subjects taken and grades obtained for the last two years of secondary school studies.

  • Official post-secondary transcripts may be used in lieu of secondary school transcripts. The transcript must indicate successful completion of at least one full academic year or a minimum of 24 university-level credits, from a recognized university or college. Certified English translations of the above documents must also be submitted if the original documents are not written in English.

  • Proof of English language proficiency.

  • When students arrive at the College, they must give the International Education Department a copy of their Study Permit, a copy of the photo page of their passport, and proof of medical insurance.

Note: Some programs may require further documentation.

Tuition & Fees (Canadian Dollars)

  • University transfer studies: $17,700 (10 courses/30 credits)

  • Bachelor Programs $17,700 (10 courses/30 credits)

  • Career Programs: $17,700 (10 courses/30 credits)

  • Post Degree Programs: $13,000 (1-year program)-$37,290 (2-year program)

Scholarships

The following are the criteria for General Scholarships:

  • be a full-time Regular Studies student in the semester for which the scholarship or award will be received;
  • currently registered in a minimum of 9 credits and in a minimum of 9 credits in one of the past two semesters;
  • normally enrolled in at least their third semester of study or in the second semester of a one-year career or vocational program;
  • must be in good standing at the College;
  • have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher;
  • between students who have similar cumulative GPAs, preference is given to students who are enrolled in the greater amount of credits for the current semester and one of the past two semesters;
  • meet any additional scholarship criteria specified by a donor; these can be found under the scholarship name on our website;

  • be a full-time Regular Studies student in the semester for which the scholarship or award will be received;

Overview

Langara College is a public degree-granting college in VancouverBritish Columbia, Canada, which serves approximately 21,000 students annually through its university, career, and continuing studies programs. In 1970, Vancouver City College opened its West 49th Avenue campus. On April 1, 1994, Langara College was established as an independent public college under the Provincial College and Institute Act.
