Lincoln Academy encourages applications from serious academic students who are open to new challenges and experiences.   Admission to LA is based upon the following:

  • A completed application form with a $50 non-refundable application fee.
  • Recommendation forms from your English teacher; math teacher; and your principal, head of school, or counselor.
  • A small photo album (at least five photos) or art portfolio showing your activities, family, or other things of importance to you.
  • Copies of your school transcripts from the past three years.
  • One of the following: SSAT (School Code: 4641), ISEE, IELTS, iTEP SLATE, or TOEFL (School Code: 3634) scores from your current school.
  • A copy of the front inside page of your passport.
  • A copy of your visa or I-20 Form, if you are currently studying in the U.S.
  • A certificate of deposit from your family’s bank.
  • A Skype interview.

Advanced Placement

AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC (online with teacher support at LA), AP Statistics, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP Physics, AP English Literature, AP English Language & Composition, AP U.S. History, AP European History, AP Macroeconomics, AP Studio Art, AP Music Theory, AP Spanish Language, and AP French Language.

In 2013, 25 Lincoln Academy students were named AP Scholars.

LA offers students over 145 courses; 16 Advanced Placement options; more than 30 visual and performing arts courses; over 40 clubs, activities, and sports; Independent Study; English as a Second Language classes; TOEFL and SAT prep courses; and personalized college counseling.

With new science laboratories, updated classrooms, a modern dining commons, a theater, new residence halls, and extensive athletic fields, LA provides the ideal living and learning environment.

In 2014-2015, Lincoln Academy will be offering a Marine Studies and Exploration Program as well as opening a new Applied Technology and Engineering Center with courses in Robotics, Boatbuilding, Architectural Drafting, Aquaculture, and Computer-aided Design.
