Entry Requirements
- To be considered for admission to NYIT, you must have satisfactorily completed high school (secondary school) with at least a B average or a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale.
- SAT/ACT scores are not required for international students unless you are applying to the Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Nursing programs
- You must receive a minimum score of 6.0 (IELTS), 79 (TOEFL IBT), or 53 (Pearson PTE) for full admission.
- If you receive a score below 6.0 (5.0-5.5) on the IELTS, 79 on the TOEFL IBT (61-78), or 52 on the Pearson PTE (40-52), you may be required to study English as a second language before you can be fully matriculated.
- M.B.A. applicants must meet English proficiency requirements by providing a minimum score of 6.0 (IELTS), 79 (TOEFL IBT), or 53 Pearson PTE). Successful completion of NYIT’s English Language Institute satisfies the English proficiency requirement to the M.B.A. program.
