Admissions Process
The program is selective, admission standards are high, and only fully qualified students are accepted into the program. Admission is a three-step process:
- Completion of the online application and submission of all the supporting documents via VNIS Education team
- Personal Interview (in person or digital)
- Admissions decision by RCS Global
Upon acceptance to Redwood Christian Schools, and after payment of half of tuition, the I-20 will be issued to the student. This document is the basis for receiving an F-1 visa status from the United States Department of Homeland Security. Within two weeks before starting school, the student is expected to secure medical insurance and make sure all immunizations are up to date.
For International Student admissions, a student must submit a completed International Student Application and a non-refundable $199 USD application fee through VNIS Education team.
Please note that for Middle School (grades 6-8) admissions, we require a minimum TOEFL score of 60 or a minimum SLATE score of 4.5. For our High School (grades 9-12) College-Prep program we require a minimum TOEFL score of 60 or a minimum SLATE score of 4.5. For our High School (grades 9-12) English immersions program we require a minimum TOEFL score of 40 or a minimum SLATE score of 3.0.
Homestay
RCS Global Homestay Program provides families to host international students attending RCS. Our program provides a loving system of support as an extension and an integral part of our educational system. The host student acquires language skills and cultural understanding as a member of the host family. In order to provide the best support possible through our program, we require the family to complete an application and obtain references before the home interview and live scan fingerprint for clearance. Once a host student is matched with a host family, home visits are performed monthly throughout the school year, and we are available as needed for questions and support.

RCS tuition covers academic services used by all students, including many fees commonly charged by other schools such as facilities, textbooks, lab fees, and technology fees (including iPads for 9-12th grade). Additional fees may be incurred for services such as athletics, fine arts, field trips, and social events.
