Stoneleigh-Burnham School is the result of the merger of five girls’ schools, dating back to 1869 with the Prospect Hill School of Greenfield, Massachusetts. Our mission then was “to prepare girls for the rigors of a college education.” Today our focus remains the same.

The Hockaday School is an independent, college-preparatory day and boarding school for girls from pre-K through 12th grades. The school, founded in 1913, is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest. Hockaday is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools, the National Coalition of Girl’s Schools, One Schoolhouse, The College Board, the National and Texas Assocition for College Admission Counseling, and the Cum Laude Society.
