1. What changes do you want to make for your country and for the world?
One problem that Vietnam should take into consideration right now is the rate of illiteracy in remote areas. Poverty is unavoidable in these territories, which leads to the fact that these lands are losing their own people since they tend to move to other places instead of staying and there is no school available. This has prevented some ethnic groups from fully accessing to the education that they should have had. So it will be a good idea to invest in building more schools as well as appeal to volunteers across the country for free teaching. By doing this, we are laying a solid foundation for them and after that it’s up to their willingness to change not only their lives but also their homelands. Because these areas need to be developed from the inside in order to flourish and attract investments from different places.
Another problem that should be mentioned is the increase in death-toll because of cancer. All kinds of cancer seem to be initiated from usual habits that people think are harmless such as the way we eat or drink something. Once a person runs into this deadly disease, most of the time there is no way back. That’s why it’s important to propagandize among the people common knowledge of how to prevent such disease from happening. Furthermore, the Ministry of public health should also focus on creating vaccines and cures.
Not just this country but the world also has it’s own problem to worry about. Firstly, the overpopulation crisis seems not to subside even when mankind have been aware of it’s causes as well as consequences. Lack of lands, freshwater has pushed humans to devastate the nature in order to satisfy the needs of everyone. Deforestation for woods, pollution due to chemical waste from industries or the exhaustion of nonrenewable resources to generate energy, every single act is killing the Earth slowly. That’s why there should be foresters to prevent illegal deforestation, laws and suitable punishments, and not least, people have to create or find new alternative resources.
Not only have people killed the mother nature but also their own kind. Terrorist and what they’ve done until this moment have brought fear to everyone’s hearts. Somehow I still believe there’s a way to change their insights towards this world, when being different from them in religions is not a bad thing. Because people change, we just haven’t hit them mentally in the right spot yet. By stopping all the meaningless fights, we can ensure that not one child will have to live with his childhood full of fear, no one has to suffer again.
2. What makes you a potential winner of this contest?
Because in my opinion, these are the serious problems whose current states should be improved immediately and some solutions I give are reasonable and should be considered. Despite all the bad sides of this world, it’s still beautiful in it’s own way. What I wrote in the question above, I hope that it will not be just a mere dream and I will be able to change my country and maybe the world because nothing is impossible. If I win, I want to use my influence and what I have to someone change the way people think so that together we can make not only our country but also the world a better place.
