International students – as well as American students – choose Dean for many of the same reasons, such as our Greater Boston location and outstanding record for transferring students to top U.S. universities.
Founded in 1865, Dean is fully accredited and has the history, reputation and status students expect from a 150-year old college. Several of our buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Our 16:1 student-faculty ratio ensures that students can get help when they need it, and no class at Dean is larger than 45 students.
Just 50-minutes outside Boston, our students feel safe without being isolated from the activities of a big city. The Commuter Rail – only three blocks from campus – provides frequent train service to the city center.
For students needing English language support, our International Student FOCUS Program accepts more modest TOEFL and IELTS scores and embeds ESL instruction into credit-bearing courses reducing the need for remedial work and additional classes.
Dean awards both four-year baccalaureate and two-year associate degrees, providing an educational option that is rare among U.S. colleges. Our associate degree graduates transfer to many of the top U.S. universities.
