This page discloses the criteria VNIS uses to order and display schools, articles and services on vnis.edu.vn, as required by Decree 248/2026/ND-CP. It describes how the system actually works.

By default the directory is ordered by SCHOOL NAME, A to Z. That is the only order applied when you open the page without choosing anything.
You can switch to “By country”: the list is then ordered by country name first, then by school name A–Z within each country.
Beyond those two options, nothing else affects the order — no quality score, no internal priority, no randomisation.
VNIS does not sell placement. No school pays to appear higher in the directory or in search results.
Schools may buy a listing plan. That plan decides HOW MUCH CONTENT a school gets — the free plan shows a short card, the full plan adds a detailed profile page and an online application button — it does not decide where the school appears.
Being a VNIS partner likewise does not move a school up the directory.
The directory search matches the characters you type against SCHOOL NAME and CITY. Any school containing that string is kept.
Search results are NOT scored for relevance: every match is kept, then ordered exactly as described in section 1. A closer match does not rise to the top.
Search does not read descriptions or fields of study, and does not use your browsing history or location.
You can change the display yourself using the controls on the directory page: the “Sort” selector (Name A–Z or By country) and five filters — Country, Type, Level, Tuition, Ranking group.
Filters only NARROW the list; they do not reorder the schools that remain.
The country list inside the filter is ordered by number of schools, descending, so the country with the most schools sits at the top. That is the order of the FILTER, not of the school list.
“Clear filters” returns the directory to the default described in section 1.
Some pages carry a block introducing a few schools under the heading “Featured partner schools”. The schools in that block are chosen by hand by VNIS editors; it is not the output of an algorithm.
We say so plainly so it is not mistaken for a ranking or for a list of the best schools. It is an editorial selection serving the topic of the page.
This block does not change the order of the school directory.
Article lists are ordered by PUBLICATION DATE, newest first. Articles scheduled for a future date are not shown until that date.
No article is promoted for commercial reasons.
Any advertising content is labelled as such where it appears.
Some pages mention a school's ranking group (for example QS or THE). Those figures are published by independent ranking organisations; VNIS only cites them with the source.
VNIS does not rank schools itself and does not score teaching quality itself.
a) Relevance to search keywords — USED, but only to FILTER, never to rank: a school whose name or city contains what you typed is kept, and the kept schools are then ordered by name A–Z. Search does not read school descriptions.
b) Paying for display — NOT USED. No position on vnis.edu.vn is for sale.
c) The buyer's search or transaction history — NOT USED. What you have viewed or bought before does not change the order.
d) Buyer ratings and reviews — NOT USED. The directory has no star ratings and does not order schools by review.
đ) Number of completed orders — NOT USED. How many students applied through a school does not move it up.
e) The user's locality, country or territory — NOT USED. We do not read your location. The “Country” filter refers to the SCHOOL's country and is chosen by you.
g) Delivery and payment method — NOT USED, and not applicable: VNIS sells services and ships nothing.
h) Other main criteria — ONE: alphabetical order by school name, plus the optional ordering by country name. Nothing else takes part.
If VNIS changes how content is ordered or adds a new display criterion, this page is updated at the same time as the change, with the update date shown at the top.
