Designated Learning Institutions list - Government of Canada ↗About Bronte College
A private day and boarding high school for Grades 9 to 12 in Mississauga, in the Greater Toronto Area, granting the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. It is an official Advanced Placement test centre, and its on-campus dormitory has rooms for 352 students, mostly private singles. The school says over 30 countries are represented in its student body in most years.
- Fees published by the school for the 10-month secondary programme (CAD): Grades 9-11, 8 courses — tuition $25,200 + single boarding room $23,000 + annual registration $3,000 = $51,200. Grade 12, 6 courses — $21,480 + $23,000 + $3,000 = $47,480.
- One-time and other fees (CAD): application $300; custodian documentation for students aged 17 and under $300; sundry account $1,500 (balance refundable); security deposit $1,000 (refundable less damages); health insurance $650; Campus Life Program for boarders $1,100 per semester. ESL courses are $3,700 each, with at most 16 students per ESL class. The school states there is no refund if a student withdraws or is expelled.
- Three intakes a year — February, July (summer school) and September. The OSSD programme has no fixed application deadline, provided the study permit arrives in time, and students may apply for one semester or a full year.
- The OSSD requires 30 credits (17 compulsory and 13 optional), a pass in the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test, and community involvement hours. Credits earned at a secondary school in another country are assessed for equivalency.
- Dormitory rooms for 352 students, mostly private singles with doubles on request; male and female students live on separate floors. Homestay is offered as an alternative to on-campus boarding.
- The school publishes a "University Admission Success Rate of 98%" but gives no methodology — ask admissions how it is counted and over which cohort before relying on it.

NOT VERIFIED: the DLI number (required for a Canadian study permit), the Ontario Ministry BSID, the founding year and the student roll — the school does not publish them. Ask the school for its DLI number and check it against the Government of Canada DLI list before applying. Fees are subject to change; the school's page says so.
