[Curtin University] Change in 2025 Scholarships

The 2025 Global Curtin Scholarship suite (Merit, AY12, Alumni & Family, Diplomatic) is ready to be implemented and offered. The amount of scholarship remains the same i.e. 25% of the first year tuition fees for courses of at least 400 credits. However, the merit eligibility criteria have changed in that the cut-off scores are now higher. For applicants who have previously received an offer for 2025, we will revisit those applications to assess, and if eligible, a separate scholarship notification will be sent. We envisage this may be completed within the next 2 weeks.

English subsidy: Refund up to A$7,008

• Requirement: student studies English at Curtin English then progress to any program at Curtin University
• Once you’ve progressed into your undergraduate or postgraduate course, your credit will be available after you complete semester 1 and will be applied after the census date.
• The total amount will vary per student up to the value of A$7,008

Merit Scholarship: 25% off first-year tuition fee (200 credits)

• Applicable to Undergraduate & Postgraduate (Coursework), minimum duration of 2 years – 400 credits
• Student pays full fee when depositing and the scholarship will be in student accounts once census date of the 1st semester passed

Requirement:

Bachelor degree:

• Normal high schools: Mark for Graduation ≥ 8.5/10 OR SAT ≥ 1200/1600
• Approved high schools on the list: Year 12 GPA ≥ 8.5/10

Master’s degree: Graduation GPA ≥ 7/10 OR 3.0/4.0 applied to all University Sections

Merit Extension Scholarship: 25% off the remainder of the course

Requirement:

• Students get a Merit Scholarship in the 1st year

AND maintain the CWA of the following courses:

• Maintain  ≥ 80% for Undergraduate in Science & Engineering faculty
• Maintain ≥ 70% for MBA & MBA Advanced
• Maintain ≥ 75% for Master of Commerce (major in Marketing)

WA Government Scholarships

Western Australian Premier’s WACE Bursary:

• Provides up to 50 successful international Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) graduates with a total payment of $20,000 towards their living, travel and study expenses.
