Study in Korea - official portal (NIIED) ↗About Sejong University
A private university in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, with a dedicated One Stop Service Center for international admissions. Fifteen undergraduate programmes are taught in English and need only IELTS 5.5, and first-year scholarships of 30-100% of first-semester tuition are set by language score.
- Fifteen undergraduate programmes are taught in English, so a student without any TOPIK can still enter a degree: Public Administration, Media and Communication, Business Administration, Economics, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Computer Science and Engineering, Comics & Animation Technology, the School of Global Liberal Studies, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, AI and Software, Smart Mobility, K-Pop Entertainment, Visual and Performing Content and Contemporary Music. The requirement is IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 3.5 (59 on the old scale) or New TEPS 202.
- Tuition for 2026, PER SEMESTER, in KRW: 4,669,000 for humanities, social sciences, business, economics, hospitality and tourism; 5,521,000 for natural sciences and physical education; 6,340,000 for IT, advanced convergence, engineering and life sciences; 6,392,000 for arts. Roughly double these for a year. The application fee is 150,000 KRW and the guide warns tuition may rise for the 2027 academic year, with a preliminary deposit charged to cover the difference.
- The Korean track sets TOPIK Level 4 for most departments, Level 3 for Media and Communication and Business Administration, and Level 2 for the School of Creative Studies, Global Liberal Studies, Entertainment and Content, arts and physical education majors and Korean language and literature. Students admitted at Level 2 must complete, within one year, either 300 hours of Korean instruction, the Korea Immigration and Integration Program, or a King Sejong Institute course — and must reach Level 4 (or 3 by department) before graduation.
- Daeyang Global College is the university's dedicated college for international students, with four schools and eight majors. Students entering the School of Global Liberal Studies spend the first year exploring before choosing one of the eight majors, or transferring to another college under the university's rules.
- Spring 2027 entry is assessed in two rounds: applications 7-21 September 2026 for the first, 22 October to 13 November 2026 for the second. Everything is submitted online during the application window; original physical documents are posted only after admission, during the tuition-payment period, and failure to send them cancels the admission.
- The admissions office publishes document guidelines specific to Vietnam, alongside China, Uzbekistan, Nepal and Bangladesh — a sign the university handles Vietnamese applications often enough to standardise them. Note that all documents must be apostilled or consularly authenticated and notarised before being uploaded.
- Contact the One Stop Service Center directly at sos@sejong.ac.kr or +82-2-3408-2620. The campus is at 209 Neungdong-ro, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
All figures come from the university's own 'Undergraduate Admission Guide for International Students, Spring 2027' (English edition issued 3 September 2026, downloaded from sos.sejong.ac.kr) read on 16 September 2026, with the address and phone number from the One Stop Service Center footer. A NOTE ON UNITS: the guide's tuition table does not state whether the figures are per semester or per year; this record says per semester because the guide's own scholarship section is expressed as a percentage of 'the first semester's tuition fees' and the amounts match the standard Korean private-university convention — but ask the university to confirm before planning finances. The guide also states that the Korean version prevails over any translation. Accreditation is checkable at the Study in Korea (NIIED) portal. Tuition changes from year to year.
